Fallout 76 will be simplified. Bethesda met players halfway

Bethesda will reduce the difficulty of the new Infestations activity in Fallout 76, lowering boss health and improving rewards after player complaints about overly difficult balance.

Despite being almost eight years old, Fallout 76 continues to receive updates. Recently, Infestations activities were introduced to the game, primarily aimed at experienced Wasteland dwellers. The idea was well-received, but the enemy balance quickly sparked a wave of complaints.

In response, Bethesda will reduce the difficulty of Infestations by lowering boss health. This will make battles shorter and more accessible for new players. By the end of the year, developers will also improve rewards: increasing the amount of ammunition dropped, guaranteeing legendary items, and adding a chance to receive mod boxes. Additionally, the vague green circle on the map will be replaced with a more precise activity marker.

Players who are not interested in Infestations will be able to completely disable related notifications and interface elements. Bethesda's decision has already divided the community: some believe that the enormous boss health merely prolonged battles, while others fear that developers are making Fallout 76 too easy under pressure from complaints.
