1C Game Studios will soon release the flight simulator "Korea. IL-2 Series" (or Korea. IL-2 Series) on PC via Steam. The developers have prepared a patch and addressed the community:
There's not much time left until the release of "Korea" - the game will officially launch on August 4th. While we are finalizing preparations for the launch, we have released a hotfix with stability improvements, AI aircraft, career, interface, and other game elements. We are eagerly awaiting the official release.
The developers talked about the changes and improvements in the hotfix - AI pilots will become smarter and act better, and the game will crash less often:
- Fixed AI aircraft targeting when flying inverted.
- When attacking with missiles, AI aircraft no longer evade elevations that do not prevent the missile from reaching its target.
- Improved AI aircraft terrain following when attacking stationary targets.
- Fixed the calculation of the distance required to pull out of a dive, which prevented AI aircraft from attacking targets on slopes.
- AI aircraft no longer attack buildings without direct instruction.
- Fixed various bugs that caused the game to crash. For example, when the radar determined the direction to air targets.
- In career mode, the accounting for task completion in night interception missions has been adjusted. The task is considered completed after all bombers are destroyed, or after one of them is destroyed or damaged and then lands at its own airfield.
- For the Eastern Bloc, the set of night interception missions has been adjusted: they are now dedicated to intercepting heavy bombers.
- Adjusted the logic for checking the availability conditions of the quick travel menu.
- Improved controls. For example, the operation of joysticks with force feedback has been improved: the neutral position and the effort on the control stick now change more realistically during flight.
