Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of the Mario, The Legend of Zelda, and Donkey Kong series, revealed that he has almost stopped playing video games alone. Despite being 73 years old, he still works at Nintendo and has no plans to retire.
In an interview, Miyamoto unexpectedly admitted:
Well, I hardly play games by myself anymore.
However, he hasn't completely given up his hobby. According to the developer, he now plays with his grandchildren.
If they have video games at home, they play too much, so I keep the games at my place and say, "If you want to play, come to Grandpa's." The little ones can't beat the games themselves, so I think they enjoy it when we play them together. They are very scared of the boss in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, so I play that part for them.
Miyamoto has previously stated that he does not plan to end his career and continues to work on new Nintendo projects.
