In Resident Evil Veronica, Rockfort Island will be redesigned, and the game may become more difficult than the RE2 remake - rumor

Capcom is in no hurry to reveal details about Resident Evil Veronica, but various insiders have become active. A user under the nickname Immalkwalahi has collected various rumors circulating in the fan community.

It is claimed that in Resident Evil Veronica, developers will depart from the traditional linear structure of the original. Instead, players will be offered a redesigned Rockfort Island — it will allegedly be transformed into a semi-open, interconnected location. The map will be expanded: additional secret areas and alternative routes that were not in the 2000 game will appear.

It is also reported that Resident Evil Veronica will support 3D audio on modern platforms with "accurate transmission of footsteps, water drops, and wind howling," which should enhance the survival horror atmosphere.

In addition, there are reports that a special emphasis will be placed on resource management. Inventory management — ammunition, healing items, and available space — "may make Veronica more demanding [for the player] than the Resident Evil 2 remake."

You can add Resident Evil Veronica to your Steam wishlist via the following link. Developers have not yet announced the exact release date for the project, but its release window is already known — 2027.
