Denuvo fully cracked in Crimson Desert without using a hypervisor - 5 months after release

Recently, a hacker under the nickname voices38 returned and announced a new victory. This time, he cracked Denuvo in the acclaimed game Crimson Desert. Its release took place in mid-March, meaning almost 5 months have passed since the project's launch.

Only Denuvo was used to protect Crimson Desert, as well as Steam's standard DRM system. voices38 did not disclose any other technical details.

Previously, the game was "cracked" using a hypervisor: Denuvo was simply bypassed, but this method required disabling PC security systems — and the hacker voices38 practices "old school" cracking.

Since Pearl Abyss studio actively releases patches for Crimson Desert, tech enthusiasts also regularly release "hypervisor bypass updates" for the game.

The creators of Crimson Desert have not yet announced plans to remove Denuvo. Some players believe that after the protection was cracked, it would be logical to abandon its further use.

Currently, the creators of Crimson Desert are working on an expansion, but have not yet revealed its details or set a release date for the content.
