A developer under the nickname "Pyatdesyat Chetvertyy" announced a new release from the DosZone Team project. A browser version of the classic Grand Theft Auto III has been released, which players can access on almost any device without installation.
"Pyatdesyat Chetvertyy" noted that the team applied "the most advanced and modern web technologies" based on their previous year's Vice City port.
He also listed the features of this release:
- original Grand Theft Auto III, with all key features
- available not only in English, but also in Russian
- support for any screen resolutions
- gamepad and touch control support
- both local and cloud saves are supported
The developers suggest that those who wish to play Grand Theft Auto III in the browser download the necessary game files themselves (this avoids problems with Take-Two lawyers):

But we ask you to download and provide the original files for launch, as we continue to develop our webtorrent system, thanks to which you do not need to provide anything to the game for launch. The exchange of necessary files for the game occurs in the browser between currently playing users in real time, but since the game is new, there may be few seeders and you can help other players with faster game loading.
