In late July, Sir, We Have an Orc Problem was released on PC via Steam. This indie game by Mumpitz Games turned out to be a big hit.
Sharing news about our sales and revenue exactly one week after the release of our game, which we made in four months. Over $1 million in gross revenue and almost 128,000 copies sold.
Sir, We Have an Orc Problem received "very positive" reviews on Steam, with a game rating of 87% after 2 thousand reviews. This means that on average, there is one review for every 60 copies sold (it is usually assumed that the ratio is about 30 copies to 1 review).
This result allowed the developers of Sir, We Have an Orc Problem to reach Valve's "chocolate level" — as far as is known, the company sends sweet gifts to creators of projects that earn about $800,000 a year.
Mumpitz Games has not yet reported anything about gifts from Valve. The developers are currently studying feedback on Sir, We Have an Orc Problem and preparing patches for the game.
After the release, they released a "Supporter Pack" add-on for players who wish to further support their project.
