This summer, Bethesda Game Studios announced several projects for the Fallout franchise, including a new game from Obsidian Entertainment. Recently, an interview with Fallout: New Vegas writer Chris Avellone surfaced online, where he shared his thoughts on the potential new title during a conversation with The 41st Precinct YouTube channel host.
Avellone said he really likes the work of writer John Gonzalez. In his opinion, if the developers can bring him in to work on the new Fallout as the lead writer, it "will be amazing":
I've played several games John worked on, and I liked the stories in them. I generally really love his scripts. I want to know the answers to the questions he asks me within the narrative. If he returns to Obsidian, it will make this Fallout game truly brilliant.
Avellone noted Gonzalez's significant contribution to Fallout: New Vegas — he created Mr. House, many thematic elements, "John knows how to see things through."
Additionally, the writer praised the developers of the original Fallout — Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky. They are currently working at Obsidian studio, and Avellone "cannot imagine" that they would not be involved in the new Fallout in some capacity.
