PlayStation 5 Pro. Players can access the testing with codes that developers send via email.
One of the PlayStation community members, under the nickname nextgen_currentgen, spoke about this update. In addition to the traditional general point about “improving system software performance and stability,” there are also more specific changes.
Now, the improved PSSR technology for enhancing image quality will be enabled by default:
After the system software update, this setting is automatically enabled. If this feature is activated, an improved version of PSSR will be used even in games that support the previous version of PSSR, making the image sharper and clearer.
Players will still be able to manually disable the “Enhance PSSR Image Quality” option.
Sony also warned players that in some countries and regions, the “Disable Bluetooth” option on PS5 and PS5 Pro consoles has been changed (located at (Settings > Accessories > General > Advance Settings):
If you go to “Settings > Accessories > General > Advanced Settings” and select the “Disable Bluetooth” option, the console will no longer be able to enter rest mode. In addition, if this option is selected, the HDMI Link function will no longer be supported.
It is unknown how long Sony plans to test this update for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro consoles.
