After 18 years, Condemned 2: Bloodshot is playable on PC - a fan-made PC port of the console exclusive has been released
Recently, gamers once again remembered Condemned 2: Bloodshot, which was released in 2008. The game was available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles, and now it's possible to play it on PC.
A modder under the nickname psxrestore created an unofficial PC port of Condemned 2: Bloodshot. To do this, he used the "RexGlue-SDK" tool – the Xbox 360 version of the game was used as the basis for the port.
The source code for the "Condemned2Recomp" project is publicly available on GitHub in the psxrestore repository. The modder did not include the game files for Condemned 2: Bloodshot in the package, meaning those who wish to play will need to find an Xbox 360 image.
"Condemned2Recomp" is "under development"; it is not a final version, and technical issues, such as crashes, may occur.
Currently, keyboard and mouse support in the PC port of Condemned 2: Bloodshot is "still under development" – work on this is ongoing. For now, psxrestore recommends that gamers use a gamepad to play the port.
The original Condemned: Criminal Origins was removed from sale on Steam and Xbox last year.
