Recently, players once again remembered F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin from the now-closed Monolith studio. Released in 2009, the horror-shooter is considered a cult project by some.
The “F.E.A.R. 2: Reborn (DLC)” add-on is available for the game, which received “mostly positive” reviews from players on Steam (74% rating). It was previously sold, but in August, players noticed that it started being given away for free. For some reason, the publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment changed the distribution format of the game – no announcements were made on the Steam page.
The additional single-player campaign Reborn (DLC) includes four brand new single-player levels:
As in the events taking place in the full game, you will experience Alma's chaos, but from a completely new perspective: you are given the role of a clone soldier with the call sign Foxtrot 813. Your mission begins with a landing in an orbital capsule with a combat robot to support your team of replicants... But not everything is as simple as it seems.
The F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin page on Steam is available at the following link, and the Reborn (DLC) add-on can be found here. It is currently unknown whether this giveaway is a temporary promotion, or if the publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment decided to make it free forever.
