According to insider billbil-kun, Microsoft is preparing a limited edition Gears of War: E-Day controller named Storm King. It will be compatible with Xbox Series X|S and PC. The price will be 89.99 euros.
Images of the controller have not yet appeared, but the insider described its design. The body is stylized as cracked black and red volcanic rock, the central part will be made in a rich blood-red color and feature the series' signature symbol – the Crimson Omen.
The button design will also be unusual: the right stick and the X button will be red, while A, B, Y, and the left stick will remain black. According to billbil-kun, this is one of the most spectacular Xbox controllers in recent years.
The official announcement is expected within the next two weeks, likely during the ongoing beta testing of Gears of War: E-Day. The start date for sales is currently unknown.
