MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls receives a wave of criticism from players at launch
MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls has "mixed" reviews on Steam after release due to the Easy Anti-Cheat system, which blocks launch on Linux and SteamOS, and poor optimization.
The new PlayStation title, MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls, has faced serious problems after its release. The fighting game was released on August 6 for PS5 and PC. Initial user reviews were negative.
On Steam, after 1400 reviews, the project received a "mixed" rating. The main complaint from players is related to the use of the Easy Anti-Cheat system, which completely blocks the game from launching on Linux and devices with SteamOS, including Steam Machine. Users noted that developers did not warn about such restrictions before the release.
PC owners also complain about poor optimization. According to players, even powerful computers with top-tier processors and graphics cards experience problems with stable 30 FPS.
However, the start in terms of player count was not bad – on the day of release, MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls gathered more than 24 thousand concurrent users on Steam.
The coming days will be important for the project. If the developers quickly fix the technical issues, the negative reviews may disappear.
