Recently, Nomion Games studio announced that Jean Tyulegenov will take the position of creative director for the Rush is Real project.
The specialist worked as a game designer for Escape from Tarkov for almost 9 years. He left Battlestate Games because he wanted to pursue new challenges rather than support an established game. Earlier, he said:
[Tarkov] is fully formed, and now only patches await it — conceptually, nothing new can be there anymore. Just doing straightforward and predictable tasks is not for me. Now I have different priorities. I want to dedicate time to ideas that are truly capable of changing the very essence of modern video games.
The idea for the Rush is Real project belongs to Tyulegenov. The concept was conceived while working on Escape from Tarkov — at that time, the idea could not be implemented, so it was decided to make a separate project:
Within this new project, I want to try to rebuild the main mechanism of player motivation. Many studios simply copy the key mechanics of successful projects and add their own improvements — for example, making the interface more convenient or getting rid of excessive monotony. In Rush is Real, we want to take a different path: to build the game around a completely new mechanic, not copied from anywhere, and at the same time integrate it into familiar elements — shooting, progression system, etc.
Rush is Real currently has no release date or window. The developers have not yet shown any gameplay footage.
