During the development of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the CD Projekt RED team not only discarded some plot ideas. Various mechanics were also "cut". However, traces remained in the game files, which players are gradually using to bring back old ideas or restore them from records.
As it turned out, at a certain stage, the creators of The Witcher 3 planned to add a system through which players could re-watch the drawn story cutscenes (these are usually played on the loading screen).
Recently, a modder under the nickname glassfish777 said that the unimplemented feature was first found several years ago. However, a critical error arose then that could not be fixed.
Over the past years, modding tools have appeared that helped solve the difficulties and refine the function "to release standard". After installing the modification, players will find an "Events" button in the "glossary" menu – there they will be able to view the videos.
The "Restored Content - Storybook" modification for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is distributed free of charge via Nexus Mods.
