Xbox Series S doesn't give up. Gears of War: E-Day runs at 60 FPS on the console
The Gears of War: E-Day beta test showed that the Xbox Series S confidently handles the game at 60 FPS. On PC, the main performance limiter unexpectedly turns out to be the processor, not the graphics card.
A large-scale beta test of Gears of War: E-Day has begun, allowing players to evaluate the online PvE and PvP modes. Currently, only some players have gained access; open testing will begin later.
On PC, some users complain about high CPU load. According to Daniel Owen's technical analysis, the CPU, not the GPU, can become a limitation when playing above 60 FPS.
On Xbox Series X, there are no problems with 60 FPS in performance mode. In Performance Plus, the frame rate reaches approximately 90 FPS, while quality mode is limited to 30 FPS.
The Xbox Series S performs particularly well. The 60 FPS mode works without issues. Due to the lower native resolution, the image is noticeably blurrier than on the Series X, but even at 60 FPS, the picture remains quite satisfactory.
After Forza Horizon 6, the console once again shows that with proper optimization, it can handle modern games. The underrated "little beast" Xbox continues to prove its worth.
