Take-Two recently published its financial report and spoke with investors. Insider and Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier took notice of this and shared his thoughts.
He noted that so far, only the single-player component of Grand Theft Auto VI has been discussed. They haven't discussed GTA Online at all; and Schreier added that they "don't plan to discuss anytime soon" what the new multiplayer mode will look like.
This may be due to the fact that the current GTA Online still brings in a lot of money. The journalist recalled the leaked financial documents: it was then revealed that GTA Online earns about half a billion a year — 13 years after the game's release.
Jason Schreier also spoke with Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick. He said that GTA VI pre-orders "significantly exceeded" expectations, and also confirmed that the experience of watching the game's presentation on Netflix will be like watching a TV series.
Schreier also asked the manager about his plans for November 19. Zelnick replied: "It's ultra-top-secret at the moment, but at some point, I'd be happy to tell you about it."
Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be released on November 19 this year on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. The developers have not yet disclosed the release date or release window for the PC version of the game.
