The author of the YouTube channel HD Reimagined published a gameplay demonstration of the unofficial remaster of the game:
I continue to work on remastering the classic first-person shooter from the PlayStation 2 console: adding new high-resolution textures, more details, improved materials and visuals, much closer to modern games.
HD Reimagined explained that in this release, players will be able to see "fully remastered areas and levels of BLACK, as well as many handcrafted visual improvements." He showed combat gameplay and several firearm models.
The author of BLACK HD Reimagined plans to hold the next presentation soon and share release plans.
The modder is manually re-working textures for classic games. He emphasizes that he strives to preserve the original artistic direction of the games "adapting them to modern visual standards".
