Recently, insider and Windows Central journalist Jez Corden revealed an internal letter from the president of Blizzard. The studio has the best performance within the Xbox division.
In the presented excerpt from the letter, Johanna Faries notes Blizzard's strong performance:
In fiscal year 2026, Blizzard ended the year as the best-performing studio in the Xbox division, and the past year was the third-largest fiscal year in the studio's history in terms of revenue.
Faries also noted that fiscal years 2025 and 2026 were Blizzard's "first two consecutive years of growth since fiscal year 2017." Additionally, she highlighted the success of the Diablo IV expansion and Overwatch:
In particular, outstanding results were achieved thanks to Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred and Overwatch – it showed its best quarterly result since 2022.
Faries emphasized that this success will help increase investment in Blizzard games, employees, and other initiatives that will "shape Blizzard's future."
