Baldur's Gate 3's Karlach turned into a "hot thing" - the sexy version of the heroine didn't please activists
A huge number of various modifications are being released for Baldur's Gate 3. While some enthusiasts are trying to restore cut content, adding quests and equipment, others are busy transforming characters.
Recently, a modification by SweetGenerousThing attracted the attention of some players and active social media users. Earlier this summer, he introduced the project "Hot Thing - Karlach edit" — it turns Karlach from Baldur's Gate 3 into a "hot thing".
The idea was to "make Mommy K. a little younger" and add a custom hairstyle for the heroine. At the same time, SweetGenerousThing tried to preserve the original look with an asymmetrical haircut. In addition, he made a "unique wrinkle map for Karlach — so now wrinkles on her face will be less noticeable."
Grummz, a well-known "agenda fighter" in the gaming community, drew attention to how some people reacted to the modification — not everyone likes how Karlach has changed. Some believe that one should not deviate from the original vision of Larian Studios, and sometimes even call the mod a "nightmare":
Someone made a mod to make Karlach more feminine. People are now going crazy like: "heterosexuals did this!"... Literally, even an optional mod that makes women in games attractive to men is not allowed. Only the "alphabetical" [progressive] view is allowed.
