CD Projekt RED presented an interesting story in Cyberpunk 2077, but some gamers wanted not only a single-player game mode but also something like GTA Online. A similar multiplayer project is being attempted by the modding community.

In August, the creators of the "CyberMP" project once again reminded about themselves and presented a new trailer with gameplay footage. They also shared the results of their testing. According to the developers, with 30-40 people online, the server worked stably:

The peak online was 66 people on one server – this is a record for us! Unfortunately, with a larger influx of players, the server started to work less stably, but thanks to the tests, we found the causes of the errors [...]

The project is not yet perfect: the authors of CyberMP identified "many small bugs and errors," some of which have already been fixed. The modders also noted that while they were preparing the post with the test results, they managed to refine the stress test tools, and the problem with a large number of connections has already been resolved.

Currently, CD Projekt RED is developing a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 – the project does not yet have a release date.
