Actress Devora Wilde, known to many gamers for her role as Lae'zel in Baldur's Gate 3, also participated in another high-profile project. However, due to contract specifics, she didn't immediately believe it when players started discussing her work in the action game Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.

In a conversation with IGN, Devora shared memories of how players first brought to her attention the fact that her voice could be heard in the Saber Interactive game:

When this game came out, I started getting comments like: "Oh, you're in Space Marine 2!". And I was like: "No, I'm not there. What is that anyway?"

For some time, Devora Wilde remained quite skeptical, until players started not just leaving comments, but sending her fragments of recorded lines from Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Then she thought: "Hmm, sounds like me."

The actress said that people were then talking about how the voice from Space Marine 2 "sounds very much like Lae'zel":

And then I thought: "It seems that's me." I had to dig through my belongings and emails to match the game's code name with the real one. In the end, I realized that I had indeed worked on this game.

In Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, Devora voiced a servo-skull and one of the soldiers. After listening to the lines, the actress thought: "Oh, that's me. I'm an audio diary."

Often, actors don't know exactly what game they are working on, as developers hide some information. Therefore, sometimes situations arise where performers are surprised to discover that they once voiced a certain character.
