Ghost Recon Wildlands on PS5 and Xbox Series - almost the same versions as PS4 Pro and Xbox One X

Fans of the tactical shooter Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands have received an update for current-generation consoles. However, technical analysis shows that the scale of improvements turned out to be quite modest.

Ubisoft focused on increasing the frame rate rather than a full graphics overhaul, using settings from last-generation consoles.

On PS5, the update is presumably based on the PS4 Pro profile: 1440p resolution is combined with a doubled frame rate. On Xbox Series X, the Xbox One X profile up to 1800p is used, and according to some reports, dynamic 4K at a stable 60 FPS.

On Xbox Series S, two modes are available: quality – 1440p and 30 FPS, performance – 1080p and 60 FPS.

Some players were disappointed by the absence of a native version with support for new controller features and modern rendering methods. However, the update is free. The main change is the transition from 30 to 60 FPS.
