In 2026, many notable games have already been released, and host Geoff Keighley has confirmed the date for the next The Game Awards. The ceremony will take place on December 10, 2026, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
The event will summarize the past 12 months, present awards in the main categories, and showcase new trailers and announcements. The main intrigue will traditionally be the battle for the "Game of the Year" title.
Among the contenders are already 007 First Light, Resident Evil Requiem, Pragmata, Forza Horizon 6, Crimson Desert, Big Walk, Mina the Hollower, Denshattack!, Pokémon Pokopia, and Saros.
However, the year is not over yet. Marvel's Wolverine and GTA VI releases are still ahead. Rockstar Games' title could significantly change the landscape in the fight for "Game of the Year."
