Team Ninja unveiled new details about Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember at ChinaJoy 2026. The sequel will feature more verticality and aerial combat – players will now be able to run on walls and attack in the air. The hero will not take fall damage.
The combat system will introduce a new mechanic that will need to be used instead of constantly parrying attacks. The developers will also improve enemy AI and several bosses to reduce situations where the player is attacked off-screen and quickly killed.
Wo Long 2 will retain multi-boss battles and feature an open world. Team Ninja aims to fix the shortcomings of the first installment, but performance remains a question mark for now.
The release is scheduled for early 2027 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
