In August, Escape from Tarkov developers held a special TarkovTV Live stream. During it, the head of Battlestate Games and other team members showcased new content and discussed future plans.
For example, Nikita Buyanov showed a teaser for the leagues: “Juicy ranks for the league system in Kord Breach, you will be able to get six more rewards.”
The new system will be tied to seasonal characters: by gaining ranks, players will “receive significant rewards.”
This is what the league interface will look like. Each week, groups of 50 players will be formed, and they will compete among themselves based on the amount of experience gained during the week. The system's release is planned for September of this year.
In addition, premium USEC “Korsar” and BEAR “Dozor” clothing sets were introduced for Escape from Tarkov.
Nikita Buyanov and the team presented teasers for the new “Laboratory Layout” map for the online shooter Escape from Tarkov: Arena.
The authors also promised to balance the sounds:
- VOIP/radio volume;
- interference sounds in spectator mode;
- environmental sounds on the MES, Dorms, and Equator maps;
- sounds of equipment, jumps, landings, falling bodies, and weapons hitting the ground;
- sounds of transitioning to a prone position from a sprint;
- match readiness screen sound;
- sound occlusion at the Fort location.
