The Lord of the Rings: War in the North Returns to Steam After Many Years - Remaster Available with Co-op Support
In August, gamers once again remembered The Lord of the Rings: War in the North from Snowblind Studios. An updated version of the game was released on PC via Steam, as well as on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch 2 consoles.
The project was named The Lord of the Rings: War in the North - Legacy Edition. The story follows Frodo and Sam as they begin their journey to Mount Doom, while a new Fellowship must defend the North.
In this action-RPG set in The Lord of the Rings universe, players can switch between three characters with unique skills:
- Eradan, a Dunedain Ranger: precision and stealth; prefers bows and swords.
- Andriel, an Elven Loremaster: magical support; healing spells and area-of-effect damage spells.
- Farin, a Dwarven Warrior: unbreakable resilience and deadly melee attacks.
Players will have the opportunity to visit the Elven havens of Rivendell and Lothlórien, as well as: "the impregnable peaks of the Lonely Mountain, the mist-shrouded paths of Mirkwood, and other iconic locations." Additionally, there will be a chance to meet iconic characters such as Aragorn, Gandalf, and Elrond.
The Lord of the Rings: War in the North - Legacy Edition page on Steam is available at the following link. The game supports co-op: you can play together online with two other players or locally on one screen.
