JinxO, winner of Spiel des Jahres 2026 in the "Game of the Year" category, to be released in Russia
JinxO, a casual board game based on word associations, will reach Russian gamers who enjoy gatherings with friends. After localization, it will likely be named "ImennO!" and receive an age rating of 14+.
Back at Spiel des Jahres 2026 — a prestigious German board game award — the JinxO (aka Dito!) project by game designer Martin Ang managed to win in the "Game of the Year" category.
It received this title not for its beautiful name and bright cover, but thanks to its gameplay, which many users enjoyed. Now it has become known that the Choo Choo Games publisher plans to localize this board game.
JinxO (in Russia, it will likely be released as "ImennO!") is a light casual game for a company, the rules of which are explained faster than a gamer opens the box. The essence of the gameplay is as follows: the host names a category, participants write down three options on their 3x3 tablet.
So, three rounds — and the field is filled. Then everyone takes turns reading out the answers. If your word matches someone else's, you get points. And if it matches exactly one person's answer, you shout "ImennO!" and earn bonus points.
An important point about the composition: with two or three players, the game feels a bit bland, but with four or more, it really starts to shine. It is worth noting that certain cards contain adult themes — dates, provocative things.
Because of this, Choo Choo Games employees are considering putting a 14+ rating on the box — just for formality, but in fact, everyone will be able to play, regardless of age.
