The release of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls by Arc System Works was supposed to be a big event for fighting game fans. The game was called the spiritual successor to Marvel vs. Capcom, but the PC version faced serious problems.
At launch, Marvel Tokon almost reached 25 thousand concurrent players on Steam. A week later, during peak hours, the number rarely exceeds 10–12 thousand.
The reason for the outflow is attributed to PC version issues: noticeable input lag, unstable optimization, and strict protection that prevents the game from launching on Linux devices. Regional restrictions, which make the digital version unavailable for purchase in many countries, further complicate the situation.
Even well-known content creators and genre veterans advise players to opt for the PS5 version over the PC version, as it runs significantly more stably.
