This is what The Witcher 4 could look like. New Unreal Engine 5 demonstration

Digital Dreams studio has refined CD Projekt RED's technical demo on Unreal Engine 5, improving lighting, vegetation, and village detail, showing how close to photorealism The Witcher 4 could look.

The Witcher 4 is being developed on Unreal Engine 5, and CD Projekt RED has already showcased the technology's capabilities in a special demo. The creators of Digital Dreams decided to test whether the upcoming game could approach photorealism by improving the graphics of the village demonstration scene.

They refined the lighting, vegetation, materials, environmental detail, and surfaces. As a result, the scene became even more realistic.

Digital Dreams compares the result to "The Witcher 4" for a reason, but a technological demo and a full-fledged RPG with a huge world, characters, combat system, and dozens of mechanics have different tasks.

It's hard to imagine what The Witcher 4 will be like yet. CD Projekt RED still needs to optimize Unreal Engine 5 for the game. We'll have to wait for the project's reveal.
