Recently, a user under the nickname bliblio drew the GOG community's attention to a large-scale project by gamers. They examined thousands of titles in the DRM-free game store and discovered problems.
Participants created a table titled "Games that treat GOG customers as 2nd Class v3" — it reflects cases where "GOG customers are treated as second-class citizens." In total, over 1500 issues were recorded, covering 1,142 games.
Devolver Digital led in the number of problematic points — 29 titles, followed by THQ Nordic GmbH — also 29, and Daedalic Entertainment closed the top three with 18.
Games are included in this list for various reasons: localization available in another store was not ported; free or premium add-ons are missing; some features do not work.
For example, Happy's Humble Burger Farm: there is no Deluxe edition of the game, and the artbook is missing. Heavy Rain — gamepad support does not work.
GOG responded to the initiative. One of the editors said that service representatives contacted him and reported that they "want to cooperate to minimize the list."
