SEGA runs a promotion for some of its games: players are invited to subscribe to a newsletter, and as a reward, they are offered the opportunity to receive an add-on for a new release. Several years ago, such DLC was prepared for Sonic Frontiers.
Not all who wanted to managed to get new shoes for Sonic. The Sonic Frontiers promotion ended in early 2023. However, recently the developers remembered this DLC again.
This month, the sale of five million copies of Sonic Frontiers was celebrated. The franchise's social media account not only published a celebratory promo art with the blue hedgehog but also announced that the add-on is now available to all players.
This add-on is called Sonic Frontiers: Sonic Adventure 2 Shoes. The boots for Sonic are made in the style of the classic franchise game from the early 2000s.
