Recently, Elysium Game studio reminded players about the Neo Berlin 2087 project. The developers of the cyberpunk action game published a trailer with a selection of gameplay footage.
Some gamers doubt that such a game even exists, and also suspect that the trailers were made using artificial intelligence. The developers denied using AI:
We understand your doubts, given that until now you have only seen trailers. We assure you: we have already tested the game in our office and are happy to report that it is developing simply amazingly [...] The trailers are a combination of early gameplay and cinematic videos created by us in-house, not with generative AI.
The creators of Neo Berlin 2087 noted that a demo version of the project will be available to journalists and bloggers at Gamescom.
The developers decided to limit themselves to English voice acting, as "professional voice acting is not a cheap pleasure":
As the story and game progress, the number of lines to record quickly grows, which can easily go over budget. So we decided to play it safe and focus on completing the game with English voice acting first.
However, the developers plan to make text translation into several languages (the list has not yet been specified).
