Ayaneo Showcases Non-Commercial KONKR Pocket Advance Handheld - Developer-Only Version
People who join Ayaneo's new developer incentive program will have a chance to get their hands on the KONKR Pocket Advance handheld console in a "Developer Edition" color scheme.
Ayaneo held another stream dedicated to the KONKR Pocket Advance handheld console. This time, it was quite strange and unusual. For almost two hours, the team played a video created with AI.
In the video, company director Arthur Zhang danced with Hideo Kojima, Shigeru Miyamoto, and other famous game designers (a version without censored faces can be viewed here).
And then, about three hours into the live broadcast, the developers presented another version of the Pocket Advance, increasing the number of available colors to six.
This model is slightly different from the others and is not available to the general public — it is, so to speak, a "non-commercial edition." It is designed for those who will become part of the new developer incentive program, which aims to help retro gamers create applications and frontends specifically for Ayaneo products.
Overall, the stream focused on the software side: users were given a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming developer program. It will offer tools for creating frontends, projects, games, and applications. Access to the program can be obtained by contacting Ayaneo directly.
The "developer-only" model appears to have the same dark transparent casing as the "Onyx Ice" version announced for the general public, but instead features red shoulder buttons (triggers), a D-pad, and action buttons, giving the console a rather ominous look.
