The remake of the Amiga legend - Defender of the Crown - has been released, rebuilt from scratch
Defender of the Crown from 1986, which once impressed Amiga owners with its cinematic graphics, has received a remake called The Legend Returns, with a choice between original, remastered, and completely redesigned versions.
In 1986, Defender of the Crown on Amiga 1000 made a real splash. Cinemaware showed that games could look almost like movies: with spectacular cutscenes and first-person knight battles. Now, the cult classic has received a remake – Defender of the Crown: The Legend Returns.
The game was released on Steam with 72% positive reviews. The PS5 version received an average rating of 9/10.
The remake allows you to choose between original graphics, a remaster, or a completely updated version. In the latter, the developers completely redesigned the visuals and gameplay from scratch, adding new mechanics.
Along with the release, a trailer and a video featuring Jim Sachs – the creator of the revolutionary graphics of the original Defender of the Crown – were released.
