In August, Unfrozen studio returned to Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era and introduced a small update "v. 0.80.35". This is a purely technical hotfix designed to eliminate a specific problem — some players experienced broken controls.
The development team investigated the issue and found that it only occurred with owners of computer mice from certain manufacturers (they did not publish a full list). After installing the update, nothing of the sort should happen. Players joked that "the mouse will no longer freeze in horror."
According to the developers of HOMM: Olden Era, this problem arose after a recent update to the network library. They did not specify how such an update could affect certain computer mice.
Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era is still in Steam Early Access. According to the plan, the game will remain in this status for about a year (it was released in April 2026), but this period may change if "player feedback significantly affects the course of the game's development." Currently, Unfrozen studio is preparing new PvE content and more.
