In August, the creators of Honkai Star Rail held a presentation for update 4.5, titled "A Bet in the City of a Thousand Stars." During the event, miHoYo (HoYoverse) confirmed that HSR would receive a collaboration with another game from the studio – Zenless Zone Zero.
The developers published a small teaser image on social media, a Russian version is also available:
Friends from the world of that game will join our cosmic exploration adventure!
So far, HSR developers have not revealed the details of this collaboration. They only announced that the joint event between Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero will begin "winter 2026" – without a specific release date for the update.
Earlier this year, miHoYo confirmed the collaboration between Zenless Zone Zero and Honkai: Star Rail. "Winter 2026" was also indicated as the release date.
Insiders reported that some characters from Zenless Zone Zero might appear in Honkai Star Rail, for example, Astra Yao and Ellen Jo were mentioned. It is not yet clear whether they will simply be guest NPCs, or if they will be full-fledged playable characters.
