Rockstar Games announced in August the start of a large-scale event in GTA Online, which was named "Brand War". Players are invited to participate in a new conflict.
The developers said that this "street trademark war" will affect various activities: odd jobs, free mode events, and the Hotring sponsor race series: "Help your friends by completing delivery missions and sabotage competitors to prove who really owns Los Santos."
Hotring race participants will be able to receive 4 times more rewards until August 26. Those who complete three business battles by August 19 will receive the "Powerless Malice" costume and bonus GTA $ as a reward.
Players who played GTA Online until August 26 inclusive will receive a Declasse Hotring Sabre (sports car), Sprunk and eCola license plates, and a Sprunk x eCola livery for the Hotring Sabre as a gift. In addition, while the "Brand Wars" event is taking place, Sprunk and eCola bodysuits will be available for free in stores.
Also, until August 26, a Twitch Drops campaign is being held - by watching GTA V broadcasts, players will be able to receive several sets of GTA $, as well as a "Sprunk hooded costume" or an "eCola tracksuit" (depending on the preferred brand).
The release of Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for November this year on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. The developers have not yet said anything about a conditional "GTA Online 2", the release date or release window for the PC version of the game has not yet been announced either.
