Mid-range GeForce becomes a luxury: RTX 5060 Ti sharply increased in price
Due to a shortage in the graphics card market, the price of the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB in the US has exceeded $800 for the first time, almost double its initial price of $429. This is a mid-range model.
The price madness in the graphics card market continues. The GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB, which was considered a typical mid-range Nvidia card, has become a scarce commodity. In the US, its price exceeded $800 for the first time (around $870 in Russia), although at launch in 2025, the card cost $429.
Previously, for $750–850, one could get a significantly more powerful RTX 5070 Ti, which is up to 60% faster in games. Now its price reaches $1100–1200 (around $1400 in Russia), and affordable budget options are practically gone.
At the same time, the RTX 5060 Ti cannot be called a top-tier card. It received only a 128-bit memory bus, and in the most demanding games, even with DLSS, it is designed for a maximum resolution of 1440p. Initially, it was supposed to be a mass-market model, but rising prices have turned it into an expensive purchase.
