Noctis from Final Fantasy XV returns in Final Fantasy Resonance. Square Enix has unveiled a new trailer for the game, dedicated to the main protagonist of XV. Noctis will appear as a Vision, special characters that can be summoned during battle for a powerful attack. His signature move will be Armiger.
The Vision mechanic is one of the key features of the game. Players will be able to summon heroes from different parts of the series and use their abilities. Previously, Cloud from Final Fantasy VII and Shantotto from Final Fantasy IX were shown.
Final Fantasy Resonance will be the first installment in the series with HD-2D graphics. The game will combine pixel art style, modern effects, and 3D environmental elements. The combat system will be turn-based.
The release is scheduled for October 22, 2026, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC. Cloud, Tidus, and the Warrior of Light will also appear in the game.
