Earlier this month, 1C Game Studios released the flight simulator "Korea. IL-2 Series" on PC via Steam. Recently, the developers published a new diary – in it, they decided to talk about the key changes that distinguish this part from "IL-2 Sturmovik: Great Battles."

In addition, they published a video with innovations and exclusive footage of a real MiG-15UTI in flight:

In "Korea. IL-2 Series," players have access to a "commander's career" – it covers the events of the Korean War from April 1951 to July 1953, includes new gameplay mechanics, 22 types of missions, and 63 available aviation units. There is also a mission editor, scenario campaigns, and single-player scenario missions.

Players have the opportunity to get acquainted with the equipment in a virtual "Museum" and pass "Exams" – a set of tasks for practicing and testing piloting and air combat skills.

This part of the franchise uses a modern graphics engine, built entirely on DirectX 12. A unified texture and material system based on Physically Based Rendering (PBR) and a new dynamic environmental reflection system have been implemented.
