Epic Games unveiled the trailer for the fourth season of Fortnite Chapter 7, titled "Override." According to the storyline, players' mission is simple: "hack the system, reclaim the island, and stop [antagonist] Geno."
In the released video, Fortnite developers showcased several characters from well-known franchises, such as Crash Bandicoot from the eponymous Crash Bandicoot game series, Spyro, Sonic the Hedgehog, Shadow, and a Green Hill Zone-style map with characteristic "rings," as well as Joker from Persona 5, Pac-Man, and Mega Man — players anticipate a large addition to their collection of cosmetic items.
The release of the fourth season of Fortnite Chapter 7 "Override" is scheduled for August 20 of this year. The developers have not yet published a full list of franchises with which a collaboration is planned.
Earlier this year, Epic Games announced a new round of layoffs: over a thousand employees lost their jobs. At the time, Epic boss Tim Sweeney (Shadow) stated that the company was "spending significantly more than it earns."
