Invincible VS Creators Massively Laid Off - Most Employees Left the Studio
After the release of Invincible VS, Quarter Up studio conducted mass layoffs, losing, according to various reports, 75% of its employees.
After the release of the game Invincible VS, Quarter Up studio faced mass layoffs. Former lead engineer Daniel Högberg reported that he was laid off "along with most of the rest of my team a couple of weeks ago." Another former engineer, Daniel Schlesinger, stated that he lost his job along with many colleagues.
According to an anonymous employee, about 75% of Quarter Up employees were laid off last month. Another source claims that 35 out of a team of approximately 50 people left. The layoffs allegedly began in June, when four employees were cut, and in July, another 29.
One source stated that only a "skeleton" crew was left to support the game until the first wave of DLC. The former employee attributes the layoffs to the poor performance of Invincible VS:
It is assumed that Invincible VS did not perform as Quarter Up expected, and unfortunately, they did not have the budget to keep people.
