Palworld Developers Don't Want to Spend a Year on the First Major Update

Pocketpair is preparing Palworld's first major update after release 1.0 and does not intend to spend a year on it.

Pocketpair is already planning Palworld's first major update after the release of version 1.0. Head of Publishing and Communications, Jon Buckley, invited players to submit ideas. The post gathered over 2000 responses.

However, the developers are not going to turn the update into a large-scale project.

"Things like 'add a new continent,' 'add another 20 levels,' and similar large-scale tasks – that's not exactly what we want to do in 1.1."

He noted that the team is "open to ideas," but "we don't plan to spend a year creating a massive update for 1.1." According to Buckley, constantly adding new levels eventually leads to "huge bloat" in the game.

Support for Palworld will eventually end, after which the team will move on to the next project. Version 1.0 has already added new Pals, a region, late-game weapons and armor, new structures, and additional points of interest.
