The Blood of Dawnwalker Game Director Compares Combat Mechanics to Guitar Hero

News 0

The release of the vampire action-RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker is approaching, and the developers are giving interviews. Recently, the project's game director, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, spoke about the combat system.

During a conversation with Edge Magazine, he compared the parrying mechanic to Guitar Hero – at first, players might find it difficult, but they will get used to it over time:

The parrying system is a bit like Guitar Hero. At first, you can't hit the right button, and later you start performing all sorts of very complex compositions.

Such a comparison is quite understandable: in The Blood of Dawnwalker, during combat, you will have to monitor the direction of attacks to successfully parry them.

But the developers took into account that not everyone might like this – players will have the option to enable "auto-block" to parry attacks even when choosing the wrong direction.

You can add The Blood of Dawnwalker to your Steam wishlist via the following link. The game is scheduled for release on September 3, 2026, and will also be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles.

Russian localization has not yet been announced for the game, but there were earlier rumors that it might eventually appear.
