Publisher Strategy First continues to release various old Russian games on PC via Steam. Recently, "Zvyozdny Mech" (known in its English localization as StarCalibur) from Secret Sign studio was released. The original version was presented back in 2004.
According to the plot, a star war is in full swing, and humans are forced to abandon most of the explored space to a mysterious alien race. The initiative on the front remains with the aliens, and their motives and intentions are unclear. Players are invited to take on the role of a flight academy graduate undergoing an internship on the training aircraft carrier Udilshchik: "Soon, a serene corner of space turns into the epicenter of an interstellar confrontation."
From a gameplay perspective, "Zvyozdny Mech" is a space arcade game, with missions unfolding not only in open space but also over planet surfaces. Players will be able to control ground objects in planetary missions, unlock new weapons, and upgrade their ship. A full-fledged story campaign is included.
The Steam page for "Zvyozdny Mech" is available at the following link. A 25% release discount will be active until August 20, and there is no additional content for the game.
