The main character is the assassin Soul, who was betrayed by the Order and killed by his childhood friend Zuoshan. A mysterious healer brought the hero back to life, but not for long: Soul has 66 days to find a cure for his impending death.
The action will unfold in the Wulin world, where warriors have plunged into darkness. Players will find eight locations, including the city of Panzhen and the unusual Phantom World – a mixture of Chinese philosophy, steampunk, and body modifications.
The combat system will be the core of the game. Soul will receive 30 main and 25 additional types of "Phantom Blades" weapons. Some blades use the drunken master style, others allow counter-attacking aerial attacks, and twin blades can be launched from a distance.
There are four difficulty levels in total. The most unusual is "66 Days": after death, the hero loses one day, and when the counter reaches zero, permanent death occurs.
Phantom Blade Zero will be released on October 29, 2026, on PS5 and PC.
