News 0

The situation in the memory market is becoming increasingly alarming. Prices continue to rise, with the AI boom cited as an additional factor. In some countries, this is already raising concerns for the PC market.

According to research by the German institute Geizhals, a standard DDR5 kit now costs 4.9 times more than a year ago – an increase of 486% relative to July 2025.

From July to August 2026 alone, memory prices rose by another 9%. Furthermore, a new double-digit price increase is expected in the coming months.

The increase in memory prices will inevitably affect the cost of computers, smartphones, graphics cards, and other devices with integrated memory.
