Recently, an early version of the Gamma Emerald project was released on PC. This is an unofficial remake of one of the classic installments of the Pokemon franchise.
A new version of Pokemon Emerald was created based on a modern engine. The developer, undreamedpanic, stated that this remake retains the same plot, characters, and events, but everything has been "slightly updated." The game features day and night cycles, a berry growing system (which takes into account real-time with an 8-hour timer), move learning, real-time lighting, various surprises hidden on the world map, and more.
To run Gamma Emerald, a PC with 16 GB of RAM is recommended (minimum 8 GB "for optimal performance"), a GTX 1060 or RX 580 level graphics card; the project occupies 5 GB on storage.
The "Gamma Emerald" project by undreamedpanic is distributed via itch.io. According to the author, the current early version of Gamma Emerald can be completed in 3-6 hours. The developer intends to gradually develop the project and fix technical issues.
