Alliance fans in WoW Classic got a PvP hunter banned on Twitch and quickly regretted the short-sighted decision

News 1

Sometimes solving one problem can lead to new ones. World of Warcraft Classic fans learned this firsthand. Alliance players on European servers had long suffered from a PvP player. They united and managed to get him banned on Twitch, but this not only didn't stop the problem but exacerbated the situation – now potential victims have "blinded" themselves and have no idea where the threat might be.

User nohitjerome explained that the player known as Redridgeguy previously killed 400 to 700 people a day in the Redridge Mountains zone. He often used parkour to get into inaccessible places, then sent his pet using "Eyes of the Beast" and herded players. This ability allows the player to gain direct control over their pet and see everything through its eyes for a minute.

After being banned on Twitch, Redridgeguy did not stop his hunt in the fields of World of Warcraft Classic – Alliance fans quickly paid for this ban.

As nohitjerome said, the Twitch ban did not stop the PvP hunter – but now Alliance players do not know his location:

For the Alliance [the Twitch ban] backfired badly: the only way to avoid encountering Redridgeguy during quests was to keep his stream open. Naturally, when his streams stopped, a real bloodbath began, and even other Horde players joined the hunt to attack the Alliance even harder.

PvP servers in Blizzard's game can provide fun 20 years later, but not all participants in the process are happy about it.
